DogEgg258Welcome to *Cake Master*, a 1-6 players draft-and-place game. A game contains *3 rounds*. In each round, the players *draft 3 cards* a total of *4 times* to *build 3 cakes* simultaneously. Then, the player with *the tastiest cakes* scores the most stars. Each player also scores 1 star from each *satisfied customer*. After 3 rounds, the player with the *highest score wins* the game. 1topbar_content

DogEgg258At the start of round 1/2/3, 1/2/3 [blue]*customer(s)*[/blue] is(are) drawn. The symbol on a customer card tells you what they want on their cake. This customer wants a cake with exactly [red]*5 raspberries*[/red]. Now, let's start our turn. 2cm-customer-card-id-7

DogEgg258We have received [red]*3 cake cards*[/red]. What we have to do is: choose 1 cake card to pass to the left player and choose another 1 cake card to pass to the right player. And we will keep the last cake card. All players do this simultaneously and so we will finally have 3 cake cards to place (one kept from our choice, one from the left, and one from the right). Let's now pass *[red]the pink one[/red] to the left* (click the "<" button on the card). Then, pass the one white *[red]without raspberry[/red]* to the right (click the ">" button on the card). The left card shows how *Tasty Points* score from cake: - For the *icing color* (white/pink/dark) on a cake, 1/2/3 colors score 3/1/0 tasty points. - 1 tasty point for *each rosette* on the cake. - If there is *no half-rosette* on the cake, gain 1 additional tasty point. - Finally, each *pair of [red]raspberry[/red] and [blue]blue berry[/blue]* score 1 tasty point. The right card shows how *star*(VP) score from *Tasty Point*: In each round, the player(s) with *the most tasty point* scores 2 stars. The player(s) with *the least tasty point* score no stars. DogEgg258You can see the real-time score for each cake in each player's panel. Taking the just completed white cake as an example, there is one icing color (white), 2 rosettes, no half-rosette, and [1+4] berries. One icing color gives us 3 points. 2 rosettes without a half give us 2+1 points. There are only one pair of berries so we have another 1 point. DogEgg258We must now place the three cards. Oh no, there is a white icing card in our hand but we must place it. The cake with two icing colors can only gain 1 tasty point. But don't worry, it's fine. Just try not to put 3 icing colors on a cake (in that case, we cannot gain any scores from icing color). 1topbar_content

DogEgg258If we want to fulfill the customer's demand, we should place the pink card in the middle. Fulfilling a customer's demand can let us directly score 1 point. But we cannot get a high score from *Tasty Point*. It is a hard choice. In the current case, let's bet the highest *Tasty point* instead. DogEgg258Look, in round 2 there are two customers with their demand. Each customer will buy at most *one* cake from each player. [green][tip][/green] Which means that [green]*more than one player* can score from the same customer. For the 5th, the customer wants a cake with *exactly two rosettes* and *exactly [blue]2 blueberries[/blue]*. DogEgg258With the *2-player variant*, the game plays the same except for the draft: Each player draws 3 cake cards and chooses one to keep. Pass the others to the opponent simultaneously. Then, each player chooses one to keep and passes the last one to the opponent simultaneously. In this way, Each player receives 3 cake cards finally. They then proceed to place those cards on the cakes like normally. 4topbar_content

DogEgg258In solo mode, *tasty points* are not in use. At the start of the game, 3 customer cards are drawn. Each turn, you draw 4 and discard 1. You can also replace any number of hand with a new card (you can do this 3 times in a game). At the end of the round, Tasty points are not calculated, only customers' demands are checked. Discard customers that are scored. Draw new until there are 3.5topbar_content

DogEgg258That's all for the tutorial. In each turn, players draft cards simultaneously. After the 4th turn of the round, scoring happens. Each player calculates their *tasty points* from the 3 cakes according to the chart: 1/2/3 icing color: 3/1/0 Tasty Points Each complete rosette: 1 Tasty Point No half-rosette: 1 Tasty Point Each pair of different berries: 1 Tasty Point The player(s) with the *most* tasty points gets 2 stars. The player(s) with the *least* tasty points gets 0 stars. The rest gets 1 star.
