This just happened to me again, but didn't retain my selected preferences. I started a table of Carcassonne with only the Strategic Variant option selected (the others were set to default), and restricted to a group, yet a few hours later I was added to a different table, with some expansions enabled. Looks like I'm going to get a reputation penalty for leaving a game I never wanted to join in the first place...

This happened with another two of my tables. Both tables already had multiple players at them, but BGA decided to end the table (without permission, and long before the 72 hour time limit), and add me to other tables, without my friends from my group!

Luckily this time I've retained the links for both the old table (the one I made, with the group restriction) and the new table (the one into which I was added involuntarily):

This is also happening with games that are restricted to the "My Friends" dynamic group, thus leaving me unable to create games for, well, my friendship group.

I have found a work around by altering the table URL to /table?table=[id]&nr=true, and setting up the boards from there, but it's unclear how long that interface will exist for.

This just happened to me. I created a table that was open to my friends only last night. This morning my friends let me know that the table had been abandoned. I logged in and found I'm in an entirely different table with people I don't know.

Please fix this. Creating games to play with friends is the only reason I pay for premium here.

I'm also seeing this. In generally, restricting games to a group seems to not work about 10% of the time. Sometimes it will merge with an open table. Sometimes it will just allow anybody to join. The rest of the time it works as expected.

Upon further review, I think it's only the merging problem. In the games that I started that resulted in random strangers joining the game, it looks like it's not my table anymore (ie I'm not the leftmost player). I'm not sure if this is happening with the old game/table creation screen. My issues were all from using the new one.

it's not just group restriction but EVERY restriction have been canceled.

I've had this happen to me twice this week. It's frustrating because it happens even if some of my group has already started joining my game. It just abandons the table I've started and joins me to someone else's, and then I have to play that game or get penalised.

Another person in my group just had the same issue. I have a hunch it could be happening when another game begins, because every time it has happened to me, I've been either joining or starting another game for the same group. And when one game starts successfully, the other game fails and this happens. So it could be something to do with a different game for the group starting which causes the other game to abandon. I wonder if anyone would be able to confirm this behaviour

I had the same issue happen twice today. If I create the table but don't open it, I can access the table through the old ui and enable restrictions and they will be applied.

This is still happening on a regular basis and is extremely frustrating for players that don't wish to join games with strangers.

This problem is still occurring I restricted game table=487259184 to one of my groups and it's filled with strangers. I've had it happen with every game I've opened in the past several weeks.
I am a premium subscriber and this is very annoying as I do not want to play with strangers outside my groups

Adding to previous report, this is the table I created table=487140563 the game in the previous post is the one I am now stuck in and can't quit. This is not worth premium subscriptions.

Same here: we tried twice to open a nimalia table for our group and it did the opposite: group members did not manage to join the table:

I assume that it is the same issue that prevents me from getting strong arena opponents in Patchwork. I need high rated opponents in order to be able to progress, but setting the filter does nothing.

It seems when I go start a game and set the restrictions to require a high reputation score my game will pop up but sometimes I automatically get added to another table where all the other modifications/variants are the same but. when the game starts there are people who do not meet the requirements I set when I first went to start a game. This ends up being a huge time waster and is very frustrating. I want to play game with the requirements I have set regardless of how long it takes to start.

Also when I do get added to games, that I did not agree to join, I go to cancel/leave and it also kicks me out of the game that I originally started.

Same issue here with several games: I'm learning to play new games, so I try to play arena with people on my level of expertise, but It keeps pairing me with people with much more ELO - last one was over 600. It gets very frustrating for begginers like me.

This is happening to me on the new ticket to ride game. I select 2 players to start a table, and it adds me to a table for more than two players instead of opening a table for two.
