When we have fewer coins than the number of tiles in our longest row, the display shows that we lose more coins than we earned. But the rules (and implemention, according to the developer) does not deduct from the coins we already have, only the ones we earned in that round.

In our table, my opponent earned 1 coins and lost 1 coin, but the display shows that they lost 2. I earned 4 coins and lost 4 coins, but the display shows that I lost 6.
