I was investigating how the game handles adrenaline once a player leaves the game with the changes being made to allow games to finish even if someone leaves the game, and I don't believe the current implementation is correct.
The game in question here is actually a Championship game, with the event card "if a player spins out they're out of the race". A player spins out on move #1655 and as per that event they're out of that race, from that point on the game gives adrenaline to the players 4th and 5th in what started as a 6 player race. I don't believe this is the correct rules as on page 7 of the rulebook (English wording) it says "give Adrenaline to the last car or last two cars based on the number of cars the started the race, not the remaining cars in play", that seems a definitive statement me that that application is always true, and thus a player out of the race should be counting for the purposes of adrenaline.
There is of course about to be a new relevance to this ruling rather than just the narrow application to this event card, as currently if someone leaves say an Arena game of 5 players, the game will then give Adrenaline to 3rd and 4th, which again does not follow the principle in the rulebook, and it's something that could have a big impact on a race if somebody leaves the race with a few turns left, and someone now gets adrenaline who shouldn't be getting it. -

Player was skipped and the arena game continues with 4. Adrenaline to the last 2 now is incorrect and changes the impact of the game heavily.
with 4 it is only last player with adrenaline, but you could also say, race started with 5, so adrenaline to last 2 players, but 1 player is always last as he is not playing, 2nd adrenaline goes to nr4, thus last player in the race still racing.
Just played a race where i was tucked behind the two leaders in third, and pretty confident that I would win or get second, thanks to this anomaly! Fortunately it didn't effect anything in the end.
Two players out of six either quit or timed out during a championship. Despite not starting or otherwise participating in the races it still applies adrenaline's +1 boost to players 3 & 4. One of the remaining players seems to be exploiting this
Just lost 1st place in this championship game at the Mexico track because the player who was 2nd used adrenaline to get the point needed for the win. He was 2nd and used adrenaline!? It was all because a race had a rule that a spinning out results in quitting the race and so 3 players were out of the race. That way the adrenaline rule moved to the 2nd and 3rd position which is just plain wrong.
- 5 player arena match (4 humans, 1 legend)
- player 4 left the match
- adrenaline was given to player 3 in the remaining game
