Appeal counter back as many steps as indicated on the Animal card. Remove the appropriate number of player tokens fromyour special enclosure (if you can) OR flip the smallest occupied standard enclosure that meets the animal’s requirements from the occupied side to the empty side. When I released "American Alligator" on "Move 387" from a conversative project, the game on board game arena automatically released the animal from the special enclosure reptile cage instead of letting me choose between the 2 options. The second option is to " flip the smallest occupied standard enclosure that meets the animal’s requirements from the occupied side to the empty side". Which would have been the single 5 standard enclosure cage on the top left corner of the grid map because there was no other 4 or 5 standard enclosure cage on the grid map. This screwed up my game because I was planning to play a 5 standard enclosure animal into the 5 standard enclosure cage to score some extra points. I also ran out of time in this game, and I would greatly appreciate any improvements to my penalties rating (which is at 3%).• Cal é o teu navegador?

It would be useful if you can add an optional button to pick from the 2 options with some brief info explaining the release choices. in 1 line. It would also help if you can click on which enclosure graphic cage image to click on to release your animal from.

"In the first 2 printings, we had different rules for Releasing an animal into the Wild (page 1 of the Glossary) and Moving an animal into a newly built special enclosure (page 12 of the Rulebook) when it came to flipping an occupied standard enclosure. That was not our intent. In both cases, the new rule is: You must flip the smallest possible occupied enclosure that meets all of the enclosure requirements of the animal (including water and rock spaces). In the rare case there is no such enclosure, flip the smallest occupied enclosure that meets at least the animal’s enclosure size requirement. If there is no occupied enclosure at all that meets the animal‘s enclosure size requirement, do not flip any enclosure."
I didn't realize there glosssary was a different document. However this official FAQ suggests to ignore those rulebook and glossary rules and follow the new FAQ rule. There is no "flipped" side to the special enclosure in the real life game, so wouldn't the standard enclosure be only can game piece that you "could" flip? There it wouldn't remove any markers from the special enclosure?

This FAQ entry is not changing anything about the special enclosure check, since the entry says "occupied standard enclosure".
